Implantology
Osseointegrated implants are artificial titanium roots, which act as a support for ceramic prostheses, allowing one or more dental elements to be replaced.
The natural tooth, which can be lost for various reasons, can therefore be replaced with a titanium root, a material which has the benefit of being compatible and accepted by the body, as well as being very resistant.
After being inserted into the bone, the titanium root is completely incorporated into the bone itself. The bone thus surrounds the dental implant and makes it stable thanks to perfect adhesion, in this case we talk about osteointegration. Subsequently, the dental crown is applied with the help of a pillar that connects the root with the oral cavity.
